MASTERFUL QUALITY
Monika Lips was born in 1971 in Gera. Her professional interest was piqued at the age of fourteen when she was a language school student and interpreted for her grandmother and parents in the Zwergschlösschen. At this time, her passion for gastronomy was born. Upon completion of her schooling, she completed a hotelier apprenticeship in Oberhof and Bad Pyrmont, after which she returned to her parents’ business. Five years later, she graduated to Certified Master of Hospitality.
Since 2003, Monika has been managing the company, excelling in her commitment and unerring high standards for quality and service. As of a result, Hotel-Restaurant Zwergschlösschen has been classified to three stars superior in 2012. Additionally, the company has been awarded a number of quality seals.
Monika Lips is chairman of the Tourism Board of CCI East Thuringia, and committee member of DEHOGA Thuringia. In her work, she is helping to shape the future of the region. “Tourism is not only a great economic motor for the region, it provides quality of life for our employees and our children.”
